Adult Ballet - RAD Discovering Repertoire

Monday, January 21, 2019 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

RAD Discovering Repertoire Level 2 - Level 2 (equivalent to Grade 5/Intermediate Foundation standard) : Coppélia, Giselle.The programme is based on modular assessment, to enable male and female students to learn at their own pace. Each level is made up of three units: Unit 1 – Class work (barre and centre) , Unit 2 – development exercises and Variation 1, Unit 3 – development exercises and Variation 2 . Works in class can be executed on flat or en pointe.

Adult Ballet Level 1D (Intermediate)

Tuesday, January 22, 2019 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

We recommend this level for dancers who have one or more years of recent ballet training and were taking class at least twice a week for the past year. Classes include full barre and some centre and are 1 hour and 30 min long.

Adult Ballet Level 2A (Upper Intermediate)

Wednesday, January 23, 2019 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Students taking this level should have one or more years of recent ballet training and were taking classes at least twice a week for the past year. Students will be learning the set of exercises and steps taught in the first half of the 2nd year of the Vaganova method. Classes include full barre and some centre and are 1 hour and 30 min long, followed by pointe work.

Adult Ballet Level 1A (Complete Beginner)

Thursday, January 24, 2019 7:15 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.

For individuals with little or no ballet experience, or for those who wish to re-visit the basics. These classes emphasize the basics of classical ballet using the Vaganova method and ballet vocabulary, as well as focus on physical and mental development. Classes are 1 hour long.

Adult Ballet Level 1C (Intermediate)

Friday, January 25, 2019 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

For students who would like to progress beyond Fundamentals of Ballet Level 1A & 1B. We recommend this level for dancers who have one or more years of recent ballet training and were taking class at least once a week for the past year. Classes include full barre and some centre and are 1 hour and 30 min long.

Adult Ballet Level 1A (Complete Beginner)

Saturday, January 26, 2019 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

For individuals with little or no ballet experience, or for those who wish to re-visit the basics. These classes emphasize the basics of classical ballet using the Vaganova method and ballet vocabulary, as well as focus on physical and mental development. Classes are 1 hour long.
